Personal Statement
I have been running for as long as I can remember and realized early on that I had an ability to compete. I have aspired to run at the collegiate level ever since junior high and have been doing all can to make my dream a reality.
I’m very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working recruits you’ll find. I work as hard in practice as I do in a race. You will often find me out front pushing my peers in practice which has contributed to me earning 6 varsity letters and being voted most inspirational twice by the end of my sophomore year. I was named XC captain my junior year and plan to be a 4-time team captain in XC and track by graduation.
In the classroom, I study hard and maintain an "A" average. I have been on the honor roll since 7th grade dedicating myself to my academic achievements as much as I do my athletics.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the track. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to my peers and those who have had to overcome adversity to achieve their goals and dreams.
