I am a 2017 three sport athlete, interested in competing in track and field, while working towards a degree in engineering(aerospace/robotics). I am considered a jumps, hurdles or muli-event specialist.
Verona Press junior season statement following Madison West triple, "Herkert rewrites record book - Junior Jack Herkert became just the second person in school history to make the Verona boys track and field all-time lists in five different events Monday.... Already breaking the VAHS school record in the high jump this season, Herkert has excelled in the 110-meter hurdles, as well as the long and triple jumps throughout his career. Monday, the wildcat standout added a new event to his repertoire....Running the 300 hurdles for the first-time. Herkert posted a meet-best time of 40.4 seconds and was the sixth-fastest athlete in school history.
Verona Press sophomore season statement following Badger Invite, "Sophomore Jack Herkert moved up to seventh all-time on the VAHS high jump list, clearing 6-4 to win the event. Herkert attempted a sophomore record 6-6, but didn't quite clear the bar on his three jumps. He added a runner-up finish in the triple jump (41-4) to make the all-time list in that event for the first time. Herkert moved up the all-time 110 hurdle record as well. Herkert finished third in the 110 hurdles (15.63)."
Verona Press freshman season statement following Madison East dual, "having already set the VAHS freshman high jump record earlier this season, Jack Herkert nearly did the same thing in the pole vault. Though he officially cleared 10'6" to win the competition, Herkert attempted what would have been a freshman record height of 11 feet."
