Personal Statement
Hi Coaches!
My name is Danny and I am a 6'8" Middle Blocker who was a Red-shirt my Freshman 1st year of college at Loyola Chicago. I earned the 2019 AWARD MIVA All Academic Award for Student-Athlete's who excel in the classroom. My cumulative GPA is 3.0. Academically I should enter college this fall (2020) as a Junior with 60 credits. My declared major is Philosophy and I will need another 4-5 years of education to earn a PH.D. My goal is to teach college students and hopefully be an assistant coach at the MVB college level. (Transcripts available on request via email).
As a player for Loyola Chicago, I started/played extensively as a Middle Blocker in the beginning of the 2020. I played 26 sets before I was sidelined by an injury. Then... the COVID-19 situation cut the season short. .. Therefore, I have 4 more years of NCAA eligibility left for playing Men's Volleyball.
Recently I was selected for the USA Men's Collegiate National Team by USA Volleyball for 2020. I am excited to continue my quest to one day be a USA Olympian, be on a team to help win an NCAA Title and play Pro Men's Volleyball in Europe.
Game film against UCI on January 10, 2020 is being edited as we speak to view on this site. In the meantime, if you are interested you may be able to find any of the first 7 matches of the 2020 Loyola season online for more information. Thank you for viewing my profile.
Regards,
Danny Sutton Farrell
