Dear Coach,
My name is Will Axton. I am a 17 year old, 6 ft 4 in. Opposite / Middle Blocker, attending Newport Harbor High School located in Newport Beach, California. I am currently entering my senior year and will be graduating in the spring of 2018.
I played Varsity Volleyball as a freshman, sophomore, junior, and will return to the Varsity squad this season as well. I currently play club, out of Costa Mesa, California, for Balboa Bay Volleyball Club 18’s. On the club level I have played up one grade level for the past three years, played in the JNC’s for the past four years, came home with a Bronze Medal in 2014 (Open), a silver medal in 2015 (Open), a the Bronze Medal in 2016 (Club), and the Gold Medal in 2017 (Open). Additionally, I was named an "All-Tournament Player" and was selected as my Team's MVP in Dallas in 2016. I have also earned a spot on the Sunset League All-Academic Team with a 3.8+ GPA for the past three years.
I hope you will have the opportunity to watch our team play this season. I want to assure you I have the motivation, desire, commitment, and ability required to be a Collegiate Volleyball Player.
