My name is Joshua Norman and I am in the graduating class of 2024. I have been passionate about playing beach and indoor volleyball since I was 11 years old. I am a 6'5" outside hitter and have put a lot of work and effort into passing, ball control and at times have played libero. I have been selected for the USAV High Performance Beach, now National Team Development Program, for the past 6 years. This has added depth to my indoor game, as I have played setter, libero and outside hitter, and feel like my court vision and volleyball IQ has benefitted from these opportunities. I have placed in the top 3 for USAV Beach Nationals, and now compete at the Men’s Open level in beach tournaments. I have played up 1 or 2 years in age the past 6 Club seasons and am grateful to my coaches and teammates for earning our first Open bid at one of my 14u years, which gave me experience playing at the highest level of competition at Indoor Nationals in Arizona in 2018. I have been blessed last year’s 2022/2023 season to start as an Outside Hitter on the C2 Attack 18-1s team. For my final junior season of club volleyball, I am grateful for the opportunity to return to my local Colorado club, Front Range Volleyball Club and play on the 18-1s team. It is my desire to play as an outside hitter in college. I am passionate about volleyball, and I study the game every day through film or through practices or tournaments. I take pride in working on my academics, skills, athleticism, and mental strength. My main attributes are my work ethic, strength, and desire to win. I am a person that is strong in my faith, and I am of good moral character. I know that I will make a good addition to the right university’s volleyball program and look forward to being part of a college team and campus community.
