Jorge Velazquez '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is jorge Velazquez and I just finished my 11th grade year at university highschool. I have been playing volleyball since the 6th grade but then later started playing club volleyball during my freshman year in high school, I played jv my freshman year then played varsity and started for both tenth and eleventh grade as libero. This year I was team captain and led the team in digs and receiving percentage. I also see myself as a great leader to a team by encouraging teammates when the team is at it's lowest and also try and help improve every single one of my teammates and help them reach their highest potential. Despite my time being devoted to volleyball, I still manage a constant 3.0 GPA and attempt to find an equal balance between my school-athlete relationship. My goal is to go play at a collegiate level and also get a high level education while doing so. I am looking for a division 1, 2,3 or NAIA level college. A major goal is to get academic and athletic scholarships in order to help pay for college.
