Matt Jess Domingo '20 Recruiting Profile

Throughout the years, I have learned that volleyball takes a lot of skill and dedication. I have pushed myself to maintain a positive attitude towards my goals and aspirations. As a student athlete, balancing my academics and volleyball was difficult but with hard work and commitment, I learned to manage both. Being a captain for two years also gave me the knowledge I needed to encourage my teammates to play hard and to never give up. Volleyball has been my passion the day I took my first step on the court, this is when I realized that I wanted to continue pursuing this after high school. Freshman year I was pulled up to varsity as starting libero then sophomore year I was placed in Division 1 second team. These are two of my greatest accomplishments I will forever cherish. Outside of school, I help out the Maui prep High school and Middle school girls, giving them advice on certain aspects of volleyball and making them an astounding athlete. I am striving to play volleyball at a higher level so that I can experience and learn new things from a different perspective, I know that it will be more competitive and that is something I'm up for.
