Growing up in Iowa, there was no men's volleyball. So, for 4 years i played for a women's team starting in the third grade. After attending the USAV A3 camp in Wisconsin Dells, WI when I was 13, I decided I wanted to play Men's. So I went to Wisconsin Performance's tryouts and was placed on the 18s team for the next two years, competing against the top athletes in the midwest while I was just under 14 years old. For these two years I was a libero. More recently when I was 15, I competed on the Iowa Men's High Performance team that competed at HP Championships.Through HP, I was developed into the starting Right Side Hitter. This season, I play for Capital Volleyball Academy's 16 Navy team as the captain and starting right side/setter. We have had a very successful season with four championship appearances in a row. I am a very vocal and physical leader on the court. I try my best to get my teamates going when we are down, and keep the energy level high when we are up. I love the sport, can never get enough of it, and train on the daily to remain in top physical shape and to be the best athlete that I can be. It is my dream and my goal to play this game for as long as possible and at the highest level as possible.
