Personal Statement
I believe you will find me a good candidate for your volleyball program because I am very coachable, carefully listen to my coaches, work hard in practice and rise up for games. I am use to a very high level of play at all times. Playing for Sports Performance volleyball club this past season really got me into high gear with playing against older, very high level players. Since my birthday is just before the cutoff my twin brother and I have “played up” our entire club experience and this year on the 18 2s team for Sports Performance. Before Sports Performance, I played club for years 2 years at Pipeline Volleyball club. I made varsity on our state contender high school team when I was a sophomore and this year as a junior I am starting outside, playing all the way around.
I am really committed to improving in my academics. This past year has been a major adjustment to the level of commitment to volleyball, commuting 1 ½ hours each way to club practice 3-4 times a week, all weekend tournaments and keeping up with my homework. The point is I am committed, working hard and doing my best to improve and exceed at all my commitments.
I have a great passion for the outdoors and my favorite hobbies are woodworking and working on my car. I am not sure what I want to study in college but think it will be in environmental science/ forestry. I am in a leadership program, Broncos Committed, at my school. The program supports and informs athletes how to live a healthy life style and pledge to be drug and alcohol free.
