Long gives Convoc...Personal Statement
I was proud to captain Downers Grove North HS to a 32-8 record, and a school best Sectional Final advancement in the state tournament, putting DGN in the final sixteen teams in Illinois. North finished ranked #9 in Illinois. After my team's success, I received the following individual awards; WSC All-Academic Team, WSC 1st Team All-Conference, 1st Team All-DuPage County and 3rd Team All-State.
At my church I am involved in Youth Ministry, Alter Serving and assisting my father's Knights of Columbus council.
I am blessed with athletic genes, as my father played Division I soccer at Loyola University of Chicago and is a former PGA Golf Professional, and my mother's father played football at Northern Illinois University and was invited to tryout for the Chicago Bears.
I am determined to play volleyball in college at the highest level possible that affords me personal and team success, while getting the best education possible.
