I have grown up in a volleyball family, watching my dad and my older sister play since I was born. From 5th grade through 8th grade, I had the opportunity to hang out in the high school gym everyday while my dad coached the high school girls volleyball team. It was there that I learned the fundamentals of the game and where my passion to play was ignited. Since then, I have had a desire to develop my skills and to push myself to become the best volleyball player I can be. I have played volleyball for the past 6 years and this is my 4th year of playing club volleyball year round. One of my overall volleyball goals is to play at a level that is both challenging and still fun.... even if I lose I enjoy playing for the love of the game.
I am an energetic, hardworking, outgoing, adaptable, and thoughtful person. I learned my fundamental playing philosophy from my high school coach who taught us to "CHUCE" to succeed. CHUCE stands for Communication , Hustle , Unity , Community, and Enthusiasm which are all of the aspects of the game that I as an individual can choose to control. One of the other things that I believe helps me to be a great teammate is my Christian foundation and the servant leadership style that I have learned from growing up in a faith filled home and church family.
