Jacob Satterlee '16 Recruiting Profile

I am very excited about the opportunity to play Volleyball in College!  I am working to get some additional video footage on my profile soon that will hopefully show my skills on a more individual basis.

 I have been playing volleyball since the first grade.  I have participated in local camps and then started playing for my school team in Jr. High.  The biggest difference for me is that in Kansas there are no Boys Volleyball teams.  I have played all through Jr. High and in High School except 1 yr.   It has been difficult as I am not able to play at the Varsity level by Kansas State High School Activity Association Rules.  So I have played my best at the Jr. Varsity level, for example this year I am not allowed to jump to hit the ball at the net, I can only hit from the 10 ft. line.

I had an opportunity to play on a club team last year, but they did not end up recruiting enough boys to field a team.  I am hoping this year to be able to play on a club team to gain some additional experience prior to college.   I enjoy playing volleyball and would hope to be able to play in college at some level.  My skills are good and would like to have an opportunity to play under circumstances where I am not being held back and can play to my potential.  I have always thought someday I would love to play in the Olympics.  I really work hard and always willing to take instruction.
