I have dreams of playing volleyball in college and enjoying it, maybe even coaching some day on the side if I got the opportunity to do so. I've really come to love the sport of Volleyball in my 4 years of playing it. It all started one day in middle school gym class when I finally got an overhand serve over the net. My gym teacher suggested that I try out for the volleyball team, which I did. I made the team as being the one of the two younger 7th grade players to make the team of all 8th graders. I was put in to serve for older players that couldn't serve and to play backrow. My second year, (8th Grade Year) I was elected as Captain of the Boy's Volleyball team for my middle school and played the position of Libero/Setter. In my 9th grade year, I tried out for my first ever Club Volleyball Team and made it on the lower level team. I competed and improved as the season went on. By the end of the season, I was one of the starting outside hitters. Then came my freshman year high school volleyball experience. At first I was placed onto the JV team, then the Varsity coach moved me up to play some games in Varsity as a Defensive Specialist for the hitters. I played Setter for JV and DS for Varsity. Then came my club volleyball experience for 2012-2013, where I was selected to be on the A level 16's team to play DS, L or OH. This team of only 8 players (including myself), earned a Silver Medal in our first NERVA Juniors tournament. For our second NERVA tourament, we also got Silver once again, but on our third we finally won the Gold Medal. My NERVA IV tournament got cancelled due to Snowstorm Nemo. In NERVA V (5) my club volleyball team captured the Gold Medal once again, fending off our title in a close three game series. More updates will be added as soon as they happen. I also want to travel the world and make memories. I'm striving to make a life for myself that I can enjoy every day in the future. A life where struggles are minimal and I have opportunities to help others out; to give them the relief I never had growing up.
