I began learning to play volleyball at the age of nine. Since that time I have worked to become the best player I can be. In addition to playing for my school and club, I take every opportunity I can for additional skills training. I also do strength and conditioning several times a week with coaches who specialize in student athletes. This school season my team worked hard and ended with us becoming the New York State Boys Volleyball Champions!
I am fortunate to attend a great school in New York. As a freshman and sophomore, my course load has included advanced math and Spanish, honors, advanced placement, and dual college credit classes. I am continuing to take classes that will help me to determine future areas of interest, particularly in the areas of business and allied health. I also hope to explore other activities and clubs at my high school as school returns to normal activities.
In addition to keeping up my grades, my goal is to continue to grow and develop as a player. I have had the opportunity to work with strong coaches who have helped me build a strong knowledge of the game as well as technical skills. A strength I feel I have is to take a coaches instruction and translate it on the court. I plan to continue this growth and one day play at the college level. I am dedicated, team player who is willing to put the time and effort in to be the best I can be.
