Alexzander Green '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Zander Green. I understand as a coach you have several student athletes to choose from. What I feel sets me apart from most student athletes would be my work ethic in school & volleyball. I am an all "A" student athlete which includes College Courses. My path has been different than almost all volleyball players I know. I live 90 miles from the nearest Men's volleyball club which is in Columbus, Ohio. I have no Club or High School team so I travel 90 miles one-way to my Club 3 days a week for practices and private lessons during the season. During the off season I train, take private lessons and play in beach tournaments. 

I feel another thing that sets me apart is the fact that I have been playing on my Clubs 18's National team since the age of 13! I have been the top setter, on the top 18-National team at my Club the last 2 years. We qualified for Nationals this season and will be traveling to Kansas City this summer.

 2019-2020 season I am playing the Setter position on the 18 National team for my Club. I am real excited for the upcoming Club season! I have played club for 4 years. My first 2 years I played on the 14's National team but wasn't challenged. The last 2 years I have played on the 18's National team.  

In 2018 & 2019 I played for the OVR High Performance team. This year we went 7-1 in Fort Lauderdale. I played setter & some outside hitter. 

I also take my school work and grades very important. I enjoy studying and getting good grade. Junior athlete with a grade point 3.9 . 

I understand that playing a college sport is very competitive. I understand that grades, work ethic and attitude are a huge part of life including sports. I am doing my best to be a top volleyball player at this level and the next! I look forward to hearing from some college coaches.
