Benjamin Herb '16 Recruiting Profile

My volleyball background may be different than most.  I started playing volleyball in an adult league when I was in eighth grade, and I really enjoyed the sport.  Unfortunately, my school district doesn't offer boys' volleyball, nor were there any club teams in my immediate area.  Therefore, as a freshman in high school I decided to play baseball and basketball instead while I continued to play volleyball in different adult leagues throughout the week/year.  In the fall of my senior year a new AAU club team formed and so I decided to forgo my senior year of basketball, and play volleyball instead.  This club team has been an awesome experience for me, as it is the first time I have had real coaching in volleyball.  I am nowhere near a finished product, but I love the game, and want to maximize my abilities through college.
