I have been playing volleyball since my middle school 8th grade year. Over time, I have come to love the sport. One of my main values as a player is to always push myself to be better because there is always someone else pushing himself to be better than me, both athletically and academically. I am an excellent candidate for any team because I feel I work well with feed back, stay motivated and positive, and always seek to learn more about the sport. My college and career plan is to pursue Computer Science.
At the end of my Sophomore year, I not only led my team in blocks, but also received the Most Valuable Teammate award. The award states, "This is awarded to the athlete who has demonstrated selflessness and encouraged teammates to excel for the betterment of the team." Over the summer I organized outdoors pick-up matches to help recruit middle school players into the high school program. It was a great success and our head coach stated it was the best group of Freshmen to come to Nazareth.
At the end of my Junior year, I was ranked the second best middle in the EPC with second team honors. I had multiple matches with over 20 points against key teams we played. I am also organizing the outdoors pick-up matches again.
