Austin Rush '16 Recruiting Profile

I enjoy playing volleyball and look forward to my upcoming senior year at Pennridge High School.  My field of study is chemistry and I would like to continue playing volleyball collegiately.  My club team affiliation for the last 4 years is with Indian Valley Volleyball Club.   My 100% commitment and determination would make me an asset to your team.  Other sports endeavors included soccer from the age of 4 until 9th grade and wrestling from the age of 6 through 8th grade.  Recently, my twin brother's wrestling team lost their varsity 120-pound wrestler and didn't have anyone to replace him.  Jokingly, my brother asked if I would be willing to assist the team and wrestle the rest of the season.  I made the decision to return to the mat and this is a true testament of the type of athlete I have become over the years. The good news, time in the wrestling room will increase my strength as well as my stamina for my upcoming club and varsity volleyball season.
