I am a determined and hardworking athlete who is constantly in the gym, either for volleyball or basketball, seeking to improve my skill set. I have earned varsity letters for both sports.
Regarding volleyball, my upcoming Junior season will be my second year playing at the varsity level boys volleyball team for York Suburban High School. Additionally, I have played for the 18u Trojan Volleyball Club for the last two years. Last year as a sophomore, I started at the middle blocker position for both my club and school team. I thoroughly enjoy the position, and take pride in both my blocking and hitting. I never take a play off because I understand the importance of my position.
I hope to use collegiate volleyball not only as a way to continue playing the sport I love, but also to provide me with the educational opportunity to be successful in the future. My preferred field of study is the field of biological sciences. I work hard on the court, and off the court as well, as I am currently fourth in my class rankings. I am hoping to attend an institution that has rigorous courses to prepare myself for a career in the sciences.
