My name is R. Blaine Jones III and I love this sport. As an 8th grader, earning the starting middle position on my club 16’s team was huge. Earning a bid that same year to Nationals was hard fought and well deserved. When I was chosen as starting middle on the OVR High Performance team, life could not get better! I am genuinely looking forward to what Freshman year will bring.
I take pride in being on the honor roll and I would like to attend a school that has a strong academic reputation. I am currently very interested in Political Science. I have dreams of all sizes when it comes to Volleyball. Playing in the Olympics would be my Mega dream but that would come after winning an NCAA National Championship which of course, would follow winning Nationals this coming season AND making the USA Volleyball High Performance team. I am not afraid of hard work and I enjoy every minute in the gym with my teammates and my coaches. When it comes to size, location and division; I am looking for an environment that will nurture my academic needs as well as help me grow as a volleyball player. Simply put, it would be incredible to spend my college years playing volleyball while learning something I am passionate about.
