Ramiro Colon '17 Recruiting Profile

My aspirations for college are for me to be able to have a great education in order to be a proffessional on the field of study I desire. I also aspire to play with the greatest players around the country and to be part of that top level. I hope my hard work and talent positions me with the opportunity to obtain a college scholarship, which not only satisfies my goals but that provides certain financial relief to my parents too. My character helps me a better player in court and rise above the competition. Since motivation for my teammates is on top of the list, my personality helps in keeping the team morale high. I bring my aptitude to court in order to make smart strategic plays without forgetting to be aggressive too, this way I am able to perform at a high level when my team needs me at clutch games. I have been a member of the Junior National Honor Society and right now I finished by tenth grade at Colegio Marista, Guaynabo, Puerto Rico with a 3.5 GPA. This is the school where I play high school volleyball as a middle blocker and opposite hitter for the varsity team under Coach Juan "Grillo" Aviles.
