Taylor Miller '15 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'4" goalie from San Diego, CA. I graduated from Murrieta Valley High School and currently I am the starting goalie at Golden West College in Huntington Beach. I started playing water polo in the 7th grade and began playing goalie as a freshman in high school.

It has been a journey over these past 4 years in High school, and I am thankful for water polo in my life. Playing water polo has become a very important part of my life because it has taught me how to work hard, which has helped me become a better person and all around team player. I have learned that being loyal, dependable and always doing more than expected is the key to teamwork, camaraderie, and success. This has translated to my life away from the pool as well, and I am now ready to take it to the next level in college.

I have a competitive and passionate spirit and I am completely committed to getting to the top of my game; this sport has proven to be the perfect vehicle to help me hone these traits and grow in my character and discipline. In fact, to me, it is not just a sport, but a mindset…a way of life. It is there I experience the true me – the best me.  What I have learned, what I can do, and who I become in the water is what drives me, and I strive to carry that over to my studies, relationships, and all of life outside the pool. I know that the more of that Taylor I can show the world, the more positive impact I will make to all those I meet and in all things that I do.
