Personal Statement

My name is Joseph Dempsey and I play water polo for Riverside Poly High. I have been on the varsity water polo team since my freshmen year. I was co captain for the 2013 season. I am currently taking three AP classes and several honor classes.The goal that I have set for my senior year as an athlete is to go another season undefeated in league and win a CIF championship. I am a team player who works very hard in the pool and out of the pool.

My goal is to play in college while obtaining an education that allows me to contribute to society. I have not decided on a major yet, but I am interested in the sciences and math. I am currently exploring both math and science and the many avenues that they have to offer.

My goal is to be an asset to my team while continuing to excel in school.
