Jonathan Jackson '15 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I'm John Jackson and I am senior at El Camino Real Charter High School in Woodland Hills, California.  I became interested in water polo as a Freshman when, during try-outs for the swim team, the head coach and a returning swimmer approached me and asked my what my wing-span was and why I hadn't tried out for the water polo team.  The water polo season had just ended so I set my sights on Sophomore year.  As a Sophomore, I was put on to the varsity team and, by mid season, earned the starting 2-meter position.  As the starting 2-meter player, I earned the Rookie Of The Year award as a Sophomore, led the league in goals and earned the Most Improved Player award as a Junior and was Team Captain and earned the MVP award as a Senior. 

While I identify myself as a athlete, I also recognize the importance of challenging myself academically and I work as hard at excelling in the classroom as I do at excelling in the pool.  I have taken many AP and honors classes and have maintained a 3.7 GPA throughout high school.
