My brother was the reason I started playing water polo back in seventh grade. After my first practice I was hooked, and from that moment all I wanted was to play water polo. I would say the reason why I am a good player is that I am strong in the water both mentally and physically. My physical strength in the water paired with my ability to read and adapt to competitors makes me a strong center. I am a heads up player with a great step out, a lot of quick off the water shots and I study not only the game but other players as well. I also know the importance of working with my teammates and winning together which I feel has made me a strong co-captain. My greatest accomplishment would have to be receiving Division II First Team All Section my junior year of high school. Earning this recognition only inspired me to work harder. As a player it is not only important to continuously learn and improve my own game, but also to make sure I am a team player and motivate my team.
