Personal Statement
To become a college athlete, it requires a certain set of attributes. I believe that it is not all based on the skill of the player, but rather the determination and the leadership that one can bring to the game. There is a saying in my high school that I wholeheartedly live by, "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard." If I ever have the pleasure of catching your attention, just know that as a player I will work hard and I will be persistent not only in the pool, but in the classroom also.
Recommendation from water polo coach Robert White: ". . . Tristan's dedication to excellence is unmatched. As a member of the water polo team, Tristan's fundamental skills and comprehension of the game have increased each season. His summer work and commitment to the weight room have made him stronger, more versatile and increased his fitness. Tristan can play every field position, including 2-meter offense and 2-meter defense. Tristan represents the very best of what BBCHS has to offer. Tristan is a leader inside and outside of the classroom. He leads by example in that he always does his best. Tristan takes responsibility for his own learning; he does not sit back and wait for all the opportunities to come to him. Tristan creates his own opportunities."
