Personal Statement
My name is Mina Hanalla I am from Oak Forest Illinois and I love playing Water Polo. I play on my high school team and I consider myself an asset to my team.
I am a driver and a hole set, but I am more than willing to take on any position that I am needed in. I will fill this position without question and do my very best. I currently go to Oak Forest High School, but our team is Co-op with Bremen High School. I treat both schools, teammates and coaches with respect. My freshmen year I joined swimming without any type of swim background. I had never heard of water polo, but tried it anyway and I made the starting varsity team my sophomore year. You can draw from that that I am a hard worker - I even got the most improved award and received my varsity letters every year after that. I have a very positive work ethic and I do everything that is asked of me. I know how to manage my time and get everything done; I can multitask and i know how to balance sports and school. I have only missed one day of school in my entire academic career, so you can trust that I can get work done in the pool and in the classroom. I think what I contribute to my team is an approachable personality. If anyone has a question, if anyone has anything to say to me, I'm always positive. I listen, I adapt and I do it.
As a student, I am in the upper half of my class. I love class and I love to learn.
Again, you will not have to worry about me in the classroom. I've never failed a class and I never will. I know when to separate class and sports and I know that class is more important. I currently have a 3.10 GPA and have taken the ACT but I did not get the score I desired.
