Personal Statement
I am excited for my college experiences. I am willing to challenge myself in the classroom and in the pool. I play water polo at Niles West High School, a young program that has developed over the last six years, and become one of the top 25 teams in Illinois. In the last two years that I have been on varsity, our team has made it to the Sectional Finals (2014) and the Sectional Semifinals (2015) in which we lost hard fought games to Loyola Academy. In 2015, I was named to the All-Conference 1st team. This coming spring (2016) will be my third year on varsty and my second year as a starter. What sets me apart from other recruits is the passion I play with, I never give up, and I always try to instill confidence in myself and my team. I am a tremendous leader and look to bring out the best in everyone. I also have a lot of confidence in the pool, I don't shy away from big games or big moments. I had two of my teams three goals in the 4-3 Sectional Semifinal loss to top 8th ranked Loyola. I am excited to improve my game and lead my team to another big run at the Sectional title.
