How much does NCSA cost?
The NCSA Coach RMS is completely FREE. There’s no charge at all to register, use our site, or even get help from a member of our College Relations Team.
How do I get the word out about the positions I need to fill on my roster?
Once you’re logged into your RMS, you can simply click the blue “Add Now” link next to “Position Needs” on the right side of your screen. From there you’ll be able to list exactly what you’re looking for. Position needs allow you to post the exact position, graduation year and more, which makes it easier to complete your roster.
What is the NCSA star rating, and how is it determined?
NCSA has a team of Head Recruiting Coaches, who all played or coached their respective sport at the college level. They use their knowledge and experience to evaluate film from our student-athletes. They then give each athlete a rating based on what they see. The rating scale is from one to six (a six-star athlete being the best). Often, four- to six-star athletes are capable of playing at the NCAA Division I level. This doesn’t mean that a five-star recruit won’t end up in Division III or that a three-star athlete can’t play at the top level.
We use the rating system to help give coaches an idea of what athletes to consider. Once you determine what rating tends to fit your program the best, recruiting becomes much easier.
What is an “Interested Athlete?”
An Interest Athlete is a student-athlete that has logged into their RMS, looked at information about your program, and decided to “connect” with you. This simple step lets you know that the student-athlete is interested in your program and wants to learn more.
How do I change information about my school?
If you want to change information about your university or college or you’d like to update your coaching staff, send our team an email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or give us a call at (866) 495-7089. If you just want to change your recruiting preference or needs, log into your RMS and go to the “Your Recruiting Preferences” section on the right hand side of the page. You can edit any of the blue links as often as you like.
How do I see an athlete’s contact information?
Student-athlete contact information is shown under the “My Info” tab on their profile. If you click on that tab and it doesn’t appear, the RMS will prompt you to call our team to be verified as a college coach. We do this simply to protect the privacy of our athletes. Once we verify that you are a coach, and we provide access to contact information immediately.
How do I modify my recruiting needs?
All you need to do is login to your RMS, and then look at the right hand of the screen. You will see a section titled, “Recruiting Preferences.” Under this are subtitles like states, GPA, ACT/SAT scores, and more. To change the setting, click the blue links next to each subtitle.
How can I tailor the emails that I receive to better fit my position needs?
Simply update your Recruiting Preferences and Position Needs. As you make these more specific, you will receive emails that better address what you’re looking for.
I’m having trouble logging in, how do I get help?
First, check that you’ve selected the correct sport in the drop down menu. If you don’t have a drop down menu on your login screen, then you’re on the student-athlete page, and just need to go back to our homepage and click, “Coach Login.” Then make sure you’re using the correct password. If you don’t remember your password, simply click the “Forgot your password?” link underneath the green login button. If you’re still having problems, or this doesn’t solve your issue, you can call or email the College Relations team at (866) 495-7089 or email@example.com.
What’s my password?
If you can’t remember your password, just click the link that says, “Forgot your password?” under the green login button on the college coach login page.
