Corey Schultz
Foothill High School
Santa Ana, CA
Corey Schultz is an outstanding prospect out of talent-rich Santa Ana, CA. Playing against some of the best high school baseball players in the country year round, Schultz has put up dazzling offensive numbers.
This past season for Foothill High School he ended out the year hitting .423 with 20 RBI and 17 runs scored. Schultz’s play defensively is just as impressive as his approach at the plate. He covers a lot of ground at the hot corner and possesses the strong, accurate arm to consistently throw out the speed he will face running down the line at the collegiate level.
Schultz’s efforts last season earned him 1st Team All- League, as well as a Tustin All-City Team Selection. On top of receiving those well-deserved honors, Schultz was selected to three different Under Armour National Teams, and chosen to be part of the North/South Junior Team. In terms of pure baseball ability, Schultz is one of the top 3rd Baseman on our program both defensively and offensively. But what separates him from most, and makes him an elite talent, is how physically developed he is at such a young age. He is as powerful in the forearm and lower halve of his body as any student athlete we have come across. To accommodate his exceptional baseball strength, he has the can’t - teach asset that all coaches look for: SPEED. For such a well put together 3rd Baseman, Schultz runs a 6.9 60 yard dash.
Heading into senior year, all of us at National Collegiate Scouting Association are excited for Corey Schultz and his opportunity to continue his chances of playing at the collegiate level.
