Tyler Miller is a 6’6’’ 190 lbs. shooting guard from Chandler, AZ. This three-time Arizona All-State and All-Conference selection is one of top recruits coming out of the state for the 2008-2009 season. With a laundry list of D1 offers Tyler has had the formidable task of trying to maintain his 3.9 GPA while also performing on the court.
With season highs such as 26 points, 17 rebounds and 7 steals Tyler has cemented himself as one of the most highly touted preseason prospects this year. He has been a part of many lists and rankings such as Sporting News All Phoenix Metro Selection, HM All-American, Hoopmasters.com 2009, W.C. Top 25 (18#), and HoopScoop.com 2009 Top 500 in USA (192#) among others.
Tyler’s success did not stop on the court; it spilled over to the classroom. Compiling a 3.9 GPA and a 1350 on his SAT and garnishing awards such as 2008 Boys State All-Academic Selection, Presidential Academic/Achievement Award -Silver, Student of the Month, CUSD Coaches Athletic Honor Roll Award, Central Region All-Academic Award, and 2007 Top Spanish Student, he has also made a big impact on the academic side. It is through this will to succeed both on and off the court that Tyler will make an immediate impact at the next level.
