Approaching her senior year at Warren High School, Sarah Boothe has the world at her feet. The only girl from Illinois, Boothe spent the weekend at the Youth Development Festival at the Olympic training ground in Colorado Springs with 35 other 2008 recruits in the country. The National Collegiate Scouting Association (NCSA) is helping the 6'5" basketball stand out find a Division I university for her athletic talent and academic interests.
"Sarah has exceeded so many expectations," said Kevin Agee, NCSA Recruiting Coach. "The Youth Development Festival was a great opportunity for her and I can't wait to see the direction she takes in college. Any school would be lucky to have her play for their squad."
Boothe's other athletic recognitions including being named the Street & Smith's All-American Honorable Mention, Daily Herald Player of the Year, Pioneer Press Lake Shore Player of the Year, North Suburban Lake 1st Team All-Conference, IBCA 2A 2nd Team All-State, AP 2A All-State, Chicago Tribune 2nd Team All-State, Chicago Sun Times 1st Team All-Area, Champaign News Gazette 2nd Team All-State. Booth also participates in club basketball, playing for Full Package Athletics through AAU Basketball.
In school she made High Honor Roll, with 4.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. She is also enrolled in honors courses such as Geometry and Biology. Although her major is undecided, she has four favorite colleges currently, including Stanford and Notre Dame. Although, she says this may change.
