Junior distance runner Seanna Kautz is a dedicated runner, competing year round in high school cross country, track, and national events. Although she is small in stature at 5’3’’, Kautz is a force to be reckoned with on the track.
Seanna recently finished up a successful cross country season. Seanna placed second at the AA Girls State Championship, but her time was only one second behind the first place finisher in all divisions. As a result she was awarded the National High School Athletic Coaches (NHSACA) All-American Team by tSouth Dakota High School Coaches Association and NHSACA.
Seanna’s best all time performances are (5:17) in the mile, (11:13) in the two mile, and (18:36) in the 5K. She placed fourth in girls Gold at the Roy Griak Invitational in Minneapolis and has already qualified for Nike Cross Country Nationals in Portland after placing 7th in the regional championships. She hopes to beat her track performances during the upcoming season and in her National events.
