Hopefully your track season went well. The important thing throughout the summer is to keep forging ahead. If your passion is to run in college you need to focus on the next steps to get you to that goal. Summer is the time to start training so you can build a strong base for the upcoming cross country season. As I have written before, keep doing the little things.
Summer is also the time of the year when you will be researching and visiting schools that you are interested in. Make sure you are taking the time to do actual research. Does the school offer the major you want, is the school big or small, is it near or far, have you talked to the coach yet, have you talked to anybody currently on the track and cross country team? These are all questions, among others, you have to consider about making the right college decision. This decision is once in a life time, so even though you are young and figuring things out, you do have to take the time to look into school and see if they pass the 'smell test'. The school must excite you all around and make sense academically and athletically.
