Saddleback Valley Christian High School sophomore Genessa Groos is no stranger to racing past the competition. Genessa is a threat on the track, although her 5’5’’ frame may not show it. Saddleback Valley Christian is known for a strong cross country team and Genessa adds to their outstanding reputation.
Genessa has achieved a lot during her short career. As a freshman, she was a 1st team all-league selection, which she repeated as a sophomore. Genessa has also qualified for CIF Southern Section Finals both seasons. Running a personal best of 18:49 in the 5K, Genessa is looking to finish her sophomore season strong.
In addition to year round track/cross country competition, Genessa also plays basketball for her high school team.
