Catie DeStio, is an all-star, multi-sport athlete. Her highlight, though, field hockey; she is unstoppable. DeStio has been a four year starter and also plays lacrosse and basketball. She elevates the competition and excitement among her teammates. She is unique combination of physical strength and quickness. A huge asset to her team!
In 2005, she led her team with 21 assists, 15 goals, and was named to the All-Long Island Team. She was a member of the USA Field Hockey AAU Junior Olympic Field Hockey. She was honored by the Nassau County Sports Commission. DeStio was the captain of her team and achieved recognition as the Most Valuable Player, Class B Nassau County Champion and the National Festival Gold Medal Winner. She was also All-County, All-State, and All-Region.
Not only is DeStio an amazing athlete, she achieve the President's Education Award, she is a United States Achievement Academy All-American Scholar, a member of the National Honor Society, not to mention a Key Club International Honor Roll member and a recipient of two Community Service Awards. This student-athlete is without a doubt an Impact Athlete. DeStio will be attending Cornell University in the fall.
