Patrick Ward, a 6’7” 280 pound offensive tackle prospect from Providence Catholic High School in Homer Glen, Illinois, has established himself as one of the premier OL prospects in the class of 2009.
Ward is blessed with extremely rare size and athleticism which has allowed him to truly excel as an offensive lineman. In the 2007 season Ward graded out at a 90% blocking percentage, stopping nearly all defenders in their tracks.
As big of a presence as Ward is on the field he is an even bigger presence in the classroom, earning a 4.86/4.0 GPA. This outstanding student athlete has gained the interest of Northwestern University, who offered Ward a full scholarship.
Ward heads into this offseason with a ton of steam built up in his recruiting process. He looks to capitalize on his own recruiting potential by taking as many unofficial visits as he can, and leaning on NCSA, to truly educate himself on his options.
