Christian Reed, a 6’3” 230# defensive end prospect from Notre Dame High School in New Egypt, N.J., has emerged as one of the premier defensive end prospects of the class of 2009.
Reed racked up 92 total tackles this season, with 13 quarterback pressures and 11 sacks. Reed is a talented player who finds himself playing various positions along the defensive front. Reed’s level of athleticism has even allowed him to step off the line and play the linebacker position. Opposing offenses in the New Jersey area have quickly learned that Reed needs to be identified on all plays in order to scheme against his destructive force.
College coaches have taken notice of Reed’s high level of talent as well. He has already been on game day visits to the University of Connecticut and the University of Notre Dame. He plans on maximizing his offseason by scheduling as many unofficial visits as he can.
