Marvin Charles of Cedar Hill has had at least 58 solo tackles, 24 assists, 20 tackles for losses, four sacks, three caused fumbles, three fumble recoveries and 19 pressures in 2006. Charles (5-10, 185) is a senior strongside linebacker. He is a first-year starter and second-year letterman. Charles also competes in shot put and powerlifting. He finished second in his weight class (181 pounds) at a powerlifting meet in Burleson last year. Charles' favorite sports team is the Houston Texans. He used to be a Houston Oilers fan. His favorite athlete is Ray Lewis. His Coach Joey McGuire said, "He has been one of the most consistent players for us."
