Sean Cwynar of McHenry, IL exemplifies everything great about high school athletics. Cwynar, who recently gave his verbal commitment to the University of Norte Dame, has excelled not only on the football field but the classroom as well. Cwynar maintains a 4.2 GPA and was awarded Academic All-State honors last year.
Cwynar has been a menace for opponents of Marian Central Catholic for the last three seasons. Cwynar recorded 102 tackles last season with 17 sacks, leading him to receive All-State honors by the Illinois Coaches Association. With Cwynar’s combination of size, power and speed several college coaches came calling, but Cwynar found the right fit at the University of Notre Dame. With Cwynar’s strong academic resume Notre Dame seemed like the perfect match for a student that wanted to combine big time football with big time academics.
