Sophia Montenegro is a 2009 graduate of Madison High School in Oakton, Virginia. She currently has a 3.8/4.0 GPA and is currently enrolled in AP History and a National Honor Society Member. Besides being a standout in the classroom, Sophia also excels on the golf course. She has been a four time Varsity Letterwinner for the Cougars. Sophia has visited Flagler College, Radford College and Longwood University.
In 2008, Sophia competed in the Girls British Open, placing 3rd among American competitors. She is also a three time Junior All-American and competes regularly in USGA tournaments. Her resume also includes many Match Play events. Her low score is a 71 and she currently holds a Handicap Index of 2. Sophia will be a bright spot and a college golf roster and should do big things in 2009.
