Golf is a game of meticulous repetition and focus day in and day out. Cassie Clayton, a 2009 graduate from Bakersfield, California knows exactly what that means - lots of hard work. Clayton attends Garces Memorial High School where she has been named 1st team All-State the past two years. Clayton averages a 77 with a course low of 68 and she has a 2.6 USGA Handicap Index. She has attained a 3.68 GPA out of a 4.0 scale in the classroom, while taking a heavy load of advanced classes.
She also gives back to her community by doing a lot volunteer work. Clayton states, “I am pushed at my school to reach my highest academic potential and to grow spiritually through school activities and volunteer work.”
Clayton knows the secret of upholding focus on and off the course. We expect big things out of this rising star as she heads into the most important year of her high school career.
