In the game of golf you must have mental toughness and Douglas Head, a 2010 grad from Great Oak High School in Temecula California, is a perfect example. Douglas states that “I believe in a balance between school work and golf - I am very determined to excel in both.”
Douglas has backed up his words by hitting the books and maintaining a 4.0 GPA out of a 4.0 scale. He gets it done on the green with an 18-hole average of 74, not bad for someone who has only been in the game a few years.
If you want to see such a young talented golfer, you can find Douglas on the course as he is involved in the Toyota Tour Cup and the Southern California PGA Junior Tour. Just recently Douglas had a stellar performance at the Cal Cup Matches on from August 11 through the 13th with a 72, 74, 71 finish.
Needles to say, Douglas is a personable, respectable young man and any collegiate program will be very lucky to have him on their side. We expect big things in the years to come, so keep an eye out.
