Nicholas Tarasiewicz
Rampart High School
Colorado Springs, CO
If you play golf you can learn a lesson about passion, hard work and determination from a 2008 grad named Nicholas Tarasiewicz. As Nick entered high school he was consistently shooting four over par and took it upon himself to get the job done on the course so he could get towards his end goal—playing at the next level. In order to reach his goal Nick had to face cold Colorado days and snow covered grounds to perfect his game.
By the end of Nick’s sophomore year he had gotten his handicap down to a (2.8) and was entering even more local, state, and national tournaments. Over the next few years he chipped his scores down one by one and finished his high school career with a handicap of (+0.6), an 18 hole average of (73.6), with a (67) low in tournament play.
NCSA is very proud to announce that Nick has reached his goal of playing college golf and will be attending Utah Valley State College in the fall. Nothing is impossible as long as you surround yourself with the right people and push yourself everyday.
