Julia Muscarello
Lake Forest High School
Lake Forest, IL
Julia Muscarello is a 2010 grad worth keeping an eye on. Julia plays for the Chicago Young Americans (CYA) U16 of the Midwest Elite Hockey League. Prior to joining CYA Julia was captain and leading scorer of the Highland Park Falcons. She tried out for CYA this season in order to play at the highest possible level, moving one step closer to reaching her goal of playing college hockey.
Julia excels on the ice and in the classroom. She maintains a 4.25/5.0 GPA at Lake Forest High School, one of the most competitive public high schools in the Chicago’s north suburbs. After taking the National French Test, Julia was ranked 12th in her entire school. She also participates in SADD, the Human Rights Club, the school newspaper (The Forest Scout) and is a peer trainer. Despite this busy schedule Julia finds time to excel as a three sport athlete! Besides ice hockey she is also a member of the Lake Forest High School varsity field hockey and lacrosse teams.
Julia is excited to use the second semester of her junior year to research various collegiate options and communicate with college coaches. December 26th she heads to Connecticut for the Polar Bears Tournament, one of the largest girl’s hockey tournaments in the U.S. We wish Julia the best of luck!
