CJ Allen
Edinboro University
Bowie, MD
CJ Allen, currently in her sophomore year at Wheeling Jesuit University, has decided to make a move. She has always been a stand-out no matter what team she was playing on and in high school that success lead her to a scholarship at Wheeling Jesuit, a Division II university in West Virginia. Allen is originally from the state of Washington and found her perfect fit in WJU; more than 2000 miles away. Allen had a fabulous prep career, playing for the FC Royals club team and leading them to Washington’s 2005 State Cup Championship. She was also a member of the USYS ODP WA ’88 State Pool.
Her accomplishments on the soccer field didn’t stop in high school. At WJU, Allen was the 4th leading scorer on the team both freshman and sophomore year and had also started in all of WJU’s post-season games both years. She was named WVIAC Conference Player of the Week 9/18/2006, during her freshman year.
Allen has always wanted to graduate college with an education major, specifying in physical education. Unfortunately, WJU was unable to provide her with that specific career route so Allen turned to NCSA to help her with her college search for the second time. Not even one month after contacting college coaches, she heard from numerous coaches and finally decided upon attending Edinboro University in Pennsylvania.
CJ Allen will be sad to leave WJU and her teammates will greatly miss her, but she is excited to start a new soccer career at Edinboro and carry on with her continued success.
