NCSA is excited to name Michael Nielsen as the soccer impact athlete of the month for October. Nielsen has been a consistent standout in the Utah soccer scene, and has been a member of the ’90 State ODP Team since 2003.
The 5’8”, 135# Nielsen took an open approach to his recruitment and entertained colleges and universities from the entire country at all levels. Ultimately, Nielsen decided that the University of Portland, a soccer powerhouse, was the perfect match and he recently made a verbal commitment to the Portland coaching staff.
Nielsen has a bright future ahead as he looks forward to his senior season at Brighton High School. NCSA congratulates Michael Nielsen and wishes him the best of luck with all future endeavors on the field, in the classroom and beyond.
