NCSA caught up with rising softball star Natalie Murray to talk about her high school career and the opportunity to compete at the next level.
NCSA: What motivates you before a big game?
Murray: No pregame rituals, just the thought of playing softball motivates me.
NCSA: What are you looking forward to if and when you get the opportunity to play in college?
Murray: I love to travel and meet new people. I am also looking forward to taking my game to the next level and playing with others who feel the same way about the sport.
NCSA: Why did you get involved in softball?
Murray: To hang out with best friends and it is my family's favorite sport.
NCSA: Tell us about your interactions with college coaches so far.
Murray: I have received a variety of letters from different college levels and I have been surprised by the interest shown from some colleges.
NCSA: Tell us about what you’ve learned since being with NCSA.
Murray: I have learned how to communicate with college coaches and how to present myself. This is a real learning experience in what is all involved in selecting a college where I can get the best education as well as be an active player on the school softball team. There is still more to learn and I am glad to know that NCSA will always be there to guide me with any questions that I might have.
