Kelly Gafner is a prime example of leadership on and off the field for the 2008 class. Gafner is the varsity team captain and MVP at Clarksburg High School while maintaining a 3.65 GPA and taking Honors and AP classes. Gafner also contributes by being a member of SGA, Yearbook and Class Council.
The 5’6”, 140# Gafner, is a speedy first baseman and outfielder with a home to first time of 2.8 seconds. She has stolen over 20 bases during her 2007 Clarksburg High School and U18 Damascus Hurricanes seasons. Not only is Gafner fast, she is a big contributor of bringing her teammates home. Gafner was the team record holder for runs batted in during her high school season--bringing in 41 of her teammates.
