We are proud to name Michelle Eggers as the Swimming Impact Athlete of the Month. The 5’8”, 140lbs Eggers is a 2008 grad who attends Olathe East High School in Kansas. She finished top 15 in three events at state this past season, her third appearance at state. Eggers’ main stroke is the freestyle and her personal best in the 100y Free is a (57.43), the 200y Free (2:00.93) and the 500y Free (5:19.47).
Not only does Eggers make a splash in the pool, she continues to go above and beyond in the classroom. Eggers has maintained a 4.2 GPA out of 4.2, earned a 30 on the ACT and a 1260 on the SAT. She has received many awards, including the Outstanding Student in Science Award, the Presidents Education Award and the Youth Service Alliance Presidential Service Award.
Eggers has entered the final stages of recruiting as she is in the process of sending off applications, visiting colleges and weighing her options. We know that the university and coach who has the pleasure to know Michelle Eggers will feel fortunate.
